PRAYER AT CITY ON THE HILL
“Much intercessory prayer” is one of the four pillars of ministry at City on the Hill Church. (The others are: “Preach and teach the Word only,” “worship freely and in the Spirit,” and “take the Gospel outside the four walls of the church.”)

REGULAR PRAYER MEETINGS AT CITY ON THE HILL
Intercession for Sunday services – weekly Sunday, 9 a.m.
Intercession for prayer requests, current events, church family, church direction – weekly Wednesday 1 p.m., Friday 7 p.m.
Intercession for missionaries and church projects: 3rd Saturday of each month, 9:30 a.m. to noon
Quarterly “Praise and Prayer” events – once a quarter the full band comes in to “raise the volume”, and we pray on a specific theme or Bible passage. The next meeting is TBD.

MOURNING

To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61: 3 NKJV

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers when you face trials of any kind, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance……..but….. he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. ……… he is a double minded man, unstable in all he does.” James 1: 2 -8. NIV

3 prayer points:

  1. Let us be of one mind regarding God’s faithful comfort!
  2. Let us be of one mind toward non-Christians regarding the reality of eternity!
  3. Let us be aware of the power of our words and speak “LIFE!”
