City on the Hill Ministries, founded in Aug. 1979 in Boulder, Colorado,
is an independent, full-gospel ministry, a good news church.
Current ministry
Current ministry includes four weekly services for adults and youth, children’s ministry, a healing room, corporate prayer, benevolence (for the hungry), Sunday school classes, home fellowship LIFE groups around Boulder County, the Alpha Course, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, permanent, long term and short term missions outreach to seven nations around the world, a radio broadcast, a website, and more!
Future ministry
City on the Hill is endeavoring to build on its calling as a training and sending agent, and a prophetic voice in a post-modern era. Confirming the Word Bible College, a two-year curriculum and practical, hands-on ministry training experience opens in the Fall of 2009. City on the Hill also wants to accommodate weddings and funerals, enhance the worship, education and artistic experience, and strengthen the bonds of fellowship before and after each service. City on the Hill desires to build a facility using principles of wise environmental stewardship and cost-efficiency, including state-of-the-art materials, lighting and energy, heating/cooling, water use and carbon emissions.
Vision
City on the Hill Ministries has a positive vision for this community. Years ago, a prophetic word came forth declaring:
The people of Boulder are open to Jesus; they have a great spiritual hunger for the Truth. Boulder prevails, succeeds, and is victorious over the devil. Salvation and glory radiate here as a burning torch, and it’s a praise in the earth; and they call us the Holy People, the redeemed of the Lord, and Boulder is called Sought Out, a City Not Forsaken.
City on the Hill is known as a “good news” church.
